Success Through Life Experiences

As we cross yet another threshold and go into a new month, I encourage you to find Success Through Life Experiences.

Believe me, that way of thinking WILL make a huge difference in the way you perceive your life experiences. As we enter into a new month, know that July is YOUR month and that you will be filled up till you overflow. Your life experiences prepared you for this. You’ve got this!

Based on a series of events that took place in my life, I came to the conclusion that life experiences are stepping-stones that prepare us for something greater in the future. When they happen, we do not realize the benefits in disguise because we are blinded by the obstacles, difficulties, and hurt we are going through. The thing is that we will KEEP on going through similar experiences until we learn the lessons we are supposed to learn. It is a truth I derived from past experiences.

There was a time when I was often ‘victim’ of robbery. Once someone stole my money at the market. A few days later, I naively allowed someone to assist me at an ATM when my card got swallowed by the machine, not knowing that I was being victim of a scam and once again being robbed. Later on that same week, my purse got stolen with my passport in it. As you can imagine, I felt lost. I felt as if I was a victim of people and circumstances. I started complaining about it. I felt sorry for myself. I started accusing others for my misfortunes…until my husband helped me realize something.

  1. There must be a reason why I am going through the same type of events so I had to find it
  2. Complaining about it and feeling sorry for myself were not going to bring me back my passport
  3. I had to pull myself together and do some soul-searching

It was not easy to hear that from my husband but deep down inside of me I knew he was right. I sat down and reflected on everything that had happened to me that week. I started praying. During my prayer, a voice deep inside of me told me to truly forgive the thieves, to ask for what I needed and to trust that what I was going to ask for would be given. During my prayer I also realized that I was a ‘victim’ because I was not truly aware of people around me, of circumstances I found myself into and as a result, I put myself in a situation where I became the victim. Does it make sense to you? It was so crystal clear to me. I relived every single event and saw where things went wrong. In one instance, my bag was opened. In another instance, while I was doing the groceries, I left my bag on the trolley giving an opportunity to the very organized thieves. In another instance, I trusted my ATM password with a stranger. Folks, in all cases, my incredible naiveté, caused me to be the victim. The reason why I kept on going through the same type of life experiences was for me to learn that in life, one has to be AWARE at all times whatever the circumstances.

That enlightenment happened during a prayer and during that prayer the following happened:

  1. I thanked God for the enlightenment
  2. I forgave the thieves
  3. I took 100% responsibility for what had happened to me
  4. I stopped complaining and asked God for a miracle. I asked Him to help me retrieve my passport. I decided not to listen to my conscious mind which kept on telling me that what I was asking for was impossible. I decided to put my trust in Him and to take action. I decided to receive. I decided to find Success Through Life Experiences.
  5. I thanked Him for my miracle

That prayer took place on a Saturday. On Sunday morning I received a phone call from my embassy informing me that someone had found my passport along with all my bank cards in a plastic bag in town. The counselor who called me told me that the person had phoned him on Saturday but he had been looking for my number, hence his call on Sunday. Folks, I got goosebumps. I still do when I think about that life experience. It means that my prayer had been answered on the same day I asked for my miracle. I got my passport back along with all my bank cards on the following Monday. This, good people, is a TRUE story easily verifiable.

Since then, I have never been victim of any act of robbery because I learned from my life experiences and broke the cycle. I went onto the next level. I am constantly AWARE of people and circumstances. Being aware made me a better person. The enlightenment I got from my life experience made me the person I am today. When you are aware of things, people and circumstances, you know when to take action and make the most of every encounter, every situation, etc. That led me to a more successful life. I found Success Through Life Experiences.

Jeremiah 29:11 : For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

I found Success Through Life Experiences. You too can find Success Through Life Experiences. Take time to reflect on the lesson that is to be learnt. Use it as a stepping-stone and move forward. This month, make sure you move forward and reach another level. You are greater than your circumstances!

Wishing you many milestones in July.
