The fear of failure, of all the negative thoughts that stop us from taking action, is probably the worst.
Here’s a few reasons why you should stay away from it and fight it at all costs:
You need to take action, your success depends on it!
In a previous essay I have explained the importance of taking actions in order to succeed. You can spend days reading all the great personal development posts on this blog, but they’ll only be of valuable use to those of you who will take action. Fear of failure precisely prevents you from doing that. Turn the negative “what if’s” in your head into positive ones.
Your personal development plan MUST include physical health!
Unlike what most people think, personal development is not just about becoming rich and spiritual health. It is also about physical health. Exercising is not just about losing weight. Exercising every week can change your life for the best.
Dare to dream, explore and discover!
Many believe with good reasons, that their current life is the results of a series of actions they have taken. This is true; but it is equally true that our lives are also the result of actions we did not take. The truth is, it’s all about choices and even choosing not to take action is a choice. So don’t get caught with your pants down twenty years from now, thinking “I should have”, “I could have”, “If only I had”.
Follow your instinct and take action. Dare to dream, explore and discover; so what if you’re wrong or lost?
The five biggest regrets that people have on their death bed.
Bronnie Ware, an Australian nurse, spent 12 years accompanying patients through the last moments of their lives. In 2011, after she finally resigned from her job, she decided to capture the thoughts of these patients in a book titled The Top Five Regrets of the Dying: A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing . Bonnie’s book reveals that most people have the following to 5 regrets on their death bed:
Have a system that works for you:
We all run our lives by following a system, whether we are consciously aware of it or not. However, some systems are dysfunctional and therefore produce lousy results, whereas others are functional and produce good or great results. The key is to adopt one system that works for you, for each one of your life goals.
4 ways to avoid wishful thinking and make your dream a reality
ONE: Whatever the circumstances, do not hold onto the negatives in your life. Hold onto the positive aspects of your life. Dwell on them and feel grateful about what you have. That in turn, will make you happy about your present circumstances despite whatever you are going through.
