- When you make someone happy it makes You happy too because it gives you a sense of satisfaction.
- When you make someone happy, by the law of nature, i.e the law of compensation, you have to be happy too so you will attract more of those things in your life. Without knowing it you activate a positive wave of energy which goes from one person to another and which returns to you through people you encounter, fantastic circumstances you find yourself in, great surprises, etc.
- When you make someone happy, you indirectly have a positive impact on that person who will in turn consciously or unconsciously do the same and make someone else happy. This is connected to number 2. You end up being part of a network of happy people.
- When you make someone happy, you act as a change agent and outweigh the negativity that surrounds our society.

Usually, we make someone’s day sporadically. Imagine if you made it a genuine habit? Imagine if you consciously made each encounter count. Would it change the way people interact with one another? Could it make a difference in our hearts? Could it make a difference in our homes? Could it make a difference in our schools? Could it make a difference in our relationships? How would your husband feel if you made his day? How would your child feel if you made his/her day? How would your friend feel if you made his/her day? How would anyone feel if you made his/her day? How would you feel if you made someone’s day?
Today, I stopped by a restaurant to grab something to eat and the waiter who served me, a young man in his 20s, was so helpful and cheerful that I left him a good tip. His reply was, and I quote : “Thank you madam, you made my day, I work hard, I study hard, I barely make ends meet and this means a lot to me. Thank you so much” with a big smile. His whole demeanor screamed Happy young man, grateful for the blessing. What do you think his attitude will be for the rest of the day? Surely even better than it already was. So he will probably attract more good things to him. As for me, he made me feel so happy, I left the restaurant happy. Later on, my day went from one good thing to the other. All I am saying is making it a habit can be very positive not only for our society but for ourselves. I thanked God throughout the day for all my blessings.
