“Love your neighbor as yourself”. Need I say more ? Do you LOVE what you see in the mirror every single morning ? Do you LOVE yourself ? It sounds like a silly question. But it is not. As a matter of fact, it is a deep question that everyone should ponder on. Self-Love is a Key to a Balanced Life. I know that now. Before I met my husband about 18 years ago, I was a mess. I was a shadow of myself. I hated myself for having had a child at such a young age and I developed many complexes about not being good at math, about not being beautiful enough, about not deserving love, among other things. As I write this article today, I am my number one fan and I praise God every single day for the achieved, smart, elegant, lovable, passionate (and the list goes on.. LOL)..achieved woman, I am today. I have come across so many people who admitted not loving themselves that I decided to write an article about it. I believe that it is a crucial topic to tackle considering the implications of the absence of self-love in one’s life. Over the years I have realized that Self-Love is a Key to a Balanced Life. It is one of the secrets to my success. In this article, I share 6 reasons why I know for a fact that Self-Love is the foundation of a healthy, successful, happy and prosperous life.

He Made A Way Out Of Nothingness For Me. I rose up from the dead & realized that I would have missed out on an extraordinary life if I had died. I was 14 years old, so naive and expecting a child. I felt lost, alone and deeply hurt. I realized I had messed up big time and did not know what to do. I thought that leaving this world would be a relief for everybody, that it would spare a life of misery for the unborn child, that it would spare a life of shame for my family, it would spare me the humiliation and pain of being called names and told that because of what I did, I would never succeed in life and would be condemned to a life of suffering. I thought it was the ONLY way…To realize that it was not. There was another way, a better way.
From Nothing to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur
When I look back, I sometimes have to pinch myself. My current life seems so unreal and yet, everything that is happening now is real. I went From Nothing to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur. I went from being a teenage mum with nothing to fall back on but my education and my strong faith in a better future for myself and my child. It has been a roller coaster ride. Today, God raised me up and blessed me with a family, a wonderful husband, two other children, my first born is now doing her second year in one of the best universities of South Africa and He gave me the strength to resign from my full-time job and start my own company. It has not been an easy road. From Gabon, my country of origin, where French is the official language, to South Africa where English is one of the official languages, from the bottom to the top, here I am, against all odds. From Nothing to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur, here I am with a thirst for more, with a thirst to inspire, with a thirst to empower, with a thirst to live a fulfilling life and to encourage others to do the same. This post aims at encouraging people who are going through a rough path. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Every day, we get to experience stressful moments that can either break us or make us stronger. Stress is everywhere at home with the household, the kids, etc; at work with our projects; in our daily encounters with clients; in our families where there are very often ups and downs, quarrels and reconciliations; etc. We are faced to so many stressful factors, it can happen that one may be feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
You are the only one who knows what you really want. It starts from within. Where do you see yourself in a few years time? How do you picture your future? What type of things would you like to see in your life? What aspects of your life would you like to improve? What aspects of your multidimensional life would you like to improve? This is part of your personal development.
Are you living as a married couple or just living together before tying the knots? Whichever it is, ‘love relationships’ also form part of your personal development.
Why carry unnecessary weight this year ?
We do not realize it but every day of our life we carry a lot of weight. As we live a multidimensional life, this weight can come from many arenas of our life, namely, our professional life, personal life, financial life, familial life, interaction with others, journey to lose or put on physical weight. Whatever it is, the moment you interact with certain people, you can attract more unnecessary weight in your life.
Are you about to quit?
Hold on a second and let’s think about it:
You see quitting is not necessarily a bad thing; in fact, it is sometimes the most courageous and difficult thing to do in order to succeed. But it all depends on why you’re quitting.
Your personal development plan MUST include physical health!
Unlike what most people think, personal development is not just about becoming rich and spiritual health. It is also about physical health. Exercising is not just about losing weight. Exercising every week can change your life for the best.
Have a system that works for you:
We all run our lives by following a system, whether we are consciously aware of it or not. However, some systems are dysfunctional and therefore produce lousy results, whereas others are functional and produce good or great results. The key is to adopt one system that works for you, for each one of your life goals.
