Can you overcome your limiting beliefs?

“When you face discouragement, you can do one of two things, and the one you choose will color your perspective. You can look at others to place the blame or you can look at yourself to discover your opportunities. The choice is yours. John C. Maxwell. Your opportunites could be underneath your limiting beliefs. Can you overcome your limiting beliefs ?

There are moments in life when we get discouraged and start feeling downhearted. Where does this feeling of discouragement comes from? Is it because of the obstacle one is facing ? Is it because of our personal beliefs? Is it because of what others would think of us ?

Allow me to ask you the following questions: ” Do you believe that you can achieve anything you put your mind to? Do you believe that you are lucky in life? Do you believe that you can tackle any problem that comes your way? Do you believe that you can get from where you are to where you want to be? Do you believe that you deserve a better life? Do you believe that you can attract the man / woman of your dreams? Do you believe that you can run a business ? Do you believe that you can achieve your dreams? Do you believe that you have what it takes to occupy a certain position ? “. If your answer to all or some of these questions is no, it could be that you are limiting yourself through your strong beliefs about what you should have or not have, what you should attract or not attract, what you deserve or not deserve, etc.  Can you overcome your limiting beliefs ? That’s what it is about, knowing that one can overcome limiting beliefs.

For years I used to think : “I am not good at maths”, “I am not lucky”, “I have to work hard to have money”, “nobody understands me”, “I must fight for everything in my life”, “nobody loves me”, “I will never have a man who loves me for who I am”, “I will struggle to make it in life”, “I am not as beautiful as others”, etc. These were quite strong limiting beliefs don’t you think? These strong beliefs could have restrained me to become what I am now. What saved me was the following only positive belief that was somehow anchored in the middle of that horde of negativity :

I don’t know how or when but I know that God will will help me succeed in my life despite all the mistakes I made and despite all the hurt I went through”. That was my only positive belief about myself.

Today, I believe that the only positive belief that I held on to, saved me from the destructive power of the limiting beliefs that sat in my mind. Today I am here to testify that limiting beliefs have dire consequences in our life. Why would you limit yourself ? Especially knowing that “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain : “Move from here to there” and it will move” Matthew 17: 20. Every day of our lives, we climb mountains at home, at work, in our families, in our personal dilemma, etc. How do we climb these mountains? Among other things and based on my personal experience : through an active faith and a strong positive beliefs about ourselves and what we can achieve.

You need to activate your faith in all areas of your life and consciously make the necessary efforts to chase your dream, go after the man/ woman of your life, go after the job of your dreams, start your business, travel around the world, start that NGO, put your foot down and be the blessing you are supposed to be. You are awesome!!!! But nobody but you can convince you of this truth. You are an extraordinary being who through God’s extraordinary gift of faith can achieve incredible things. Please stop dowplaying your potential.

So I am asking you the following question : Can you overcome your limiting beliefs? If your answer is yes, in so doing you will open up the door to a world of unlimited possibilities.
