Good day/ Bonjour/ Dumelang/ Goeie more/Qué Tal/ Buon Giorno

Thank you for visiting my blog, I do not believe in coincidences. If you are reading this, it means that it is meant to be and hence I look forward to starting an incredible journey to help you tap into your full potential and find your new ‘You’. ‘New Moi’ came to me at a time when I wanted to define that rite of passage from the old self that is confused, uncertain, not ready to do what it takes to change, limited, negative, too realistic, depressed, a victim of people and circumstances and unaware of things and people around it to that New ‘Moi’ (French for Me/I) which is the complete opposite: positive, bold, ready for change and self-aware. It implies a leap of faith for a better and brighter future. It bears that ‘je ne sais quoi’ which makes the New ‘You’ special. It brings out what Les Brown so eloquently called “the greatness within you”.  It is a combination of the English word ‘New’ and the French word ‘Moi’. That combination of two different languages shows that there are no boundaries.

That new ‘You’ will cross any barriers and will reach its goals whatever the circumstances.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Eva Arissani. I am originally from Gabon, more specifically, Libreville. I immigrated to South Africa in 2003 and I am now a permanent resident in South Africa.

My move to South Africa forms part of a quest that I have been on for a long time. I come from a very good family that along the lines went through a traumatizing experience and in the process, I almost lost myself. In the midst of all the challenges my family went through, I felt pregnant at a very young age. The father of the child left me. I thought that my life was over. I then discovered the power of God through faith, hope and personal development and the power of taking 100% responsibility for our life.

At the time, I just didn’t know how I would get myself out of that mess; how I was going to give a life to that innocent child, I did not know how I would make it. But out of nothing and out of no way, a way was made. That rite of passage from the old MOI to the new Moi has been an extrordinary journey. Today I am more than I ever thought I could be. I cannot count my blessings as there are so many.

Today I am a published Author of New Moi New Life : Five ways to build a new you and live an extraordinary life (available on Amazon.com), I am a Sworn Translator of the South African High Court, I am a Motivational and Inspirational Speaker, a Facilitator, a mother of 3, I am married to the most incredible man and I AM Moi. I featured in Rekord and CEO Magazine. I spoke in front of so many people from different backgrounds, from CEOs to local impoverished crowds who needed motivation, empowerment and inspiration. Today I step up and speak because I have a story to tell. One that can change lives and now I know that things happen for a reason. For me to become what I am now, I had to go through that traumatizing experience. Today I feel that it was completely worth it. After my speeches, it is priceless to see hope and inspiration in the eyes of young girls going through the same ordeal or in the eyes of women/men struggling in poverty and to see motivation and inspiration in the eyes of men/women  walking towards their dream life.

We live in a world where we are constantly reminded of our shortcomings and of our limitations. I want to bring in unlimited potential, positivity, hope, inspiration and motivation. I want people to keep in mind my favourite quote by Erna Bombeck :

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say,I used everything you gave me.”

Each one of us has potenial that very often is latent. I started looking for my potential. I discovered that God had endowed us with so many gifts. I embarked on a quest. This website is the product of that quest. As I continue my journey towards a better Moi, I wish to share my experiences, lessons, failures, tips and tools that I come across, I want to share my hopes and faith in God with you, in the hope of helping and inspiring many of you who have embarked in a similar journey.  There is no journey more exciting that the journey towards self-discovery and personal development; and as the saying goes “the more, the merrier”, so let’s travel together towards unleashing our true potential!

Yours, positively!
