Create Your Mantra For A Powerful 2018

Create your matra for a successful 2018

As we look back at the highlights of the past 12 months and reflect on what we accomplished, achieved, overcame, loved, witnessed, laughed at, shed tears for, discovered, lost, did not accomplish, did not achieve, did not love, did not witness, did not cry for, longed for, etc, let’s now move on and get ready for the New Year that we are about to cross over. It is not only time to jot down New Year resolutions and goals, but it is also time to Create Your Mantra For A Powerful 2018. This year I have been using a mantra that worked for me and I know for a fact that mantras are powerful. This is an inspirational article about the power of mantras and the 4 other elements that helped me achieve my goals and resolutions in 2017.

I love this time of the year because I get to meditate on the past 12 months. It is the opportunity for me to stay still, review the year and all the things that made it such a full year. I looked at the tools I used during the year to stay focus and committed, and realized that my top five were : 1) my faith in God and the unshakable belief that I am destined for greatness, 2) my vision board, the one I made about 2 years ago (in 2014) when I attended a 3 day-workshop held by Les Brown 3) the goals and resolutions I jotted down for the current year, 4) the motivational and inspirational videos and books from Les Brown, Bob Proctor, Robin Sharma, Napoleon Hill to name but a few and 5) my personal motivational mantras.

The 5 elements I listed above were essential to my personal growth and success during the year.

My faith has always played an important role in the sense that even when I hit bottom, a voice deep inside of me told me “ Eva, despite your circumstances, you WILL make it in life” and that was my only truth, my only strength and the only thing I knew for sure, even if I lacked self-confidence among many other things. My faith in God is crucial to me as it revives my soul and keeps me going.

In 2014, my husband and I attended a 3 day-workshop held by Les Brown, it ended up to be one of the best investments we ever made. During that workshop, we had the opportunity to make our vision boards, one of the highlights of the workshop. I used it as a roadmap and recently realized that I achieved every single thing that were on that vision board. Knowing of the power of the vision boards is one thing, experiencing it is another thing. Visualization is a powerful force that can have a positive impact on one’s life if one truly believes in this power. It worked wonders for me.

Usually, on the last week of December, I jot down my New Year goals and resolutions after having reviewed the last 12 months. I assess everything per category (heath / physical, personal, work /career, family, spiritual, financial, mind) and decide on the way forward. This is best when one follows an approach to life balance and goal setting. I acknowledge all my efforts, my successes and my failures. I make peace with whatever is still bothering me and let life happens.

People often say that motivation does not last. Well, neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily. Zig Ziglar

Motivational videos and books empowered me in the sense that they boosted my motivation and made it last throughout the year. I love ” You Gotta Be Hungry” by Les Brown, especially the part when he says ” Number one, you’ve got to work on yourself. It’s very important that you engage in an ongoing process to develop yourself. Spend more time on yourself than what you’ve been spending. It’s very important you owe that to yourself“. I also love his very famous speech ” It’s not over until I win“. Every time I listen to his speeches, I get goosebumps and I feel capable of achieving ANYTHING I put my mind to. I love reading motivational and inspirational books because they feed my mind and help me expand my horizon. In 2017, my favorite books were The Monk That Sold His Ferrari and Three Feet from Gold. Keep at it, it makes a tremendous difference.

When I say Create Your Mantra For A Powerful 2018, I state it with confidence as I know that mantras work if applied properly. Throughout the year, I had a personal motivational mantra that gave me the strength and self-confidence to overcome setbacks and obstacles. I learned to love what I see when I look at the mirror and that strengthened my positive self-talk. I already knew the power of positive self-talk but over the last few months I got to discover the power of personal motivational mantras. A mantra is a statement that you repeat frequently. They are personal statements that are used to change different aspects of one’s life. In this context, it is a positive personalized mantra that one repeats frequently and that states what one wants to have or be. Mantras state the way one would like to live his / her life. The more they are repeated, the more they are anchored in the mind. How do we create a powerful mantra? 1) Make a list of at least 5 things you are experiencing (in different aspects of your life) and that are causing a lot of stress in your life such as I am in debt, I don’t have any friends and turn them into opposite statements such as I am financially free, I have an active social life, then put them together in a sentence (or sentences/ short paragraph) that you learn by heart and repeat frequently until you believe it and attract it into your life. One tip that works for me : I set up an alarm that reminds me every five hours to repeat the mantra. After a few months, it becomes a positive habit then a belief which eventually brings forth positive changes.

As we are about to cross over, I hope you find the right formula that works for you. I hope that the personal information I shared with you about the 5 elements that were essential to my growth in 2017, will be of benefit to you and will serve you rightfully.
